Your job is to liaise directly with the vessel owner, respond to any supplier or repairer in technical matters.
• To assist Technical Manager to ensure the seaworthiness of vessels to meet company, charterer and class standards while delivering a continuous reduction of the annual maintenance budget.
• Managing the planned maintenance activities, dry docking and hands on problem solving on technical issues.
• To carry out quarterly in house site inspections on every vessel and provide report to respective Head of Department.
• To carry out Class Survey/Third party site inspection and provide report to respective H.O.D
• To plan and execute corrective action on all the technical related findings from the site inspections and Class Surveys.
• To work with Technical and HSSE & Operations department on any issues arising and provide solution to avoid vessel downtime.
• Oversee and report to the Technical Manager on all daily vessels operation matters and activities onboard vessels and in port.
• Demonstrate active role in establishing safety standards within the vessel operating crew by reviewing and auditing vessel operation systems.
• Carry out technical audits and report on all operations.
• Carry out audits of all vessel performance.
• Coordinate and supervise annual inspection activities associated with marine equipment

Requirements:
• Diploma / Degree in Marine Engineering or internationally recognised shipping qualification.
Sailing experience as 2nd Engineer / Chief Officer; or 3rd Engineer / 2nd Officer
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) particularly in English
• Excellent interpersonal and people management skills
• Positive attitude and good learning abilities
