KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & JOB DUTIES
The Control Room Engineer / Possess Certified DOSH Steam Engine Driver/ Engineer Grade 1. Possess Certified DOSH Steam Engine Driver/ Engineer Grade 1. Possess Certified DOSH Steam Engine Driver/ Engineer Grade 1. Possess Certified DOSH Steam Engine Driver/ Engineer Grade 1.Operator is a member of the highly experienced shift operations team, responsible for efficient and reliable operations of the Combined Cycle Power Plant and its Auxiliaries. From time to time, when operational needs arise, extra responsibilities may be given to the post holder.
Operate the plant according to Power Purchase Agreement within the OEM technical specifications and limitations, procedures and requirements including but not limited to starting, loading, unloading and shutting down the complete plant and systems thereof.
Familiar with and have sound knowledge of the safe operating parameters, controls, precaution and safety interlocks when starting and loading plant equipment so as to avoid damage and to be able to run the plant in the most efficient manner.
Fully capable to undertake immediate correction of the situation if required, in order to avoid trips of units or damage to plant or risk to human lives.
Monitor the plant status regularly and report to Shift Charge Engineer any abnormalities observed and as such be familiar with safe operating parameters.
Ensure operational interface between the Grid Operator and the Power Station on an hourly basis or more frequently if required.
Guide the BOP, GT/HRSG and MCR technicians in all operational matters.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Degree/ Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical from a recognized higher learning institution, or Technical Certificate Holder with no less than 5 years’ experience in CCPP operations.
Possess Certified DOSH Steam Engine Driver/ Engineer Grade 1.
Possess Certified DOSH Internal Combustion Engine Driver / Engineer Grade 1.
Possess Certified Authorized Entrant and Standby Person (AESP). Minimum 5-years’ exposure in Operations and

Maintenance of the power plant.
