Job Description
• To co-ordinate and provide administrative support for the college’s Student Services team.
• To act as a first contact for student services and signpost enquirers to appropriate support.
• To provide a professional and effective reception provision.
• To assist with setting up college events, presentations and other activities.
• To maintain and update student records as appropriate.
• Assist students and other members of the College community to access Student Support Services.
• Assist in the production of management reports related to the work of student services and feeding back to College management teams.
• Check and process student records, including data validation, input and filing.
• Administer the college’s work experience programmed, and contribute to related events/activities.
• Assist in following up student absences and course changes, including the collation of information on early leavers and destinations.
• Meeting arrangements, minute of meetings and the monitoring of action points arising from the meetings.
• Update and maintain appropriate reference materials and resources including digital noticeboards and the College virtual learning environment.
• Provides College-wide leadership by, directing the departments’ work with faculty and staff, colleagues, students and community partners in order to support, provide and/or facilitate activities that ensure that the College achieves its student leadership development, and engagement goals.
• Plans, organizes, directs, and administers activities and services that support students in assigned areas, and ensures that such activities and services remain with budgetary limits.
• Develops, implements, monitors, and reviews tactical and operational plans, procedures, systems and support in accordance with the College’s strategic goals, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Works with the management, managers and supervisors to ensure that applicable services and programs are planned, developed, regularly reviewed and updated, ensuring quality standards for program review.
• Represents the College and College interests before government agencies, other institutions, various organizations and groups.
• Other duties as reasonably required by line manager.
