Key responsibilities include managing capital approvals; tracking spend against approvals; reporting, forecasting and budgeting capital investment for Dyson Malaysia site.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:
•This role will provide analytical and reporting support to the Research Design & Development function in Malaysia to ensure appropriate capital expenditure and full information on spending. It will link closely with the Fixed Asset Account role to ensure correct management of assets once they have been purchased.
•Key responsibilities include managing capital approvals; tracking spend against approvals; reporting, forecasting and budgeting capital investment for Dyson Malaysia site.

Overall Tasks:
•Review and challenge of capital investment requests across SEA
•Co-ordination of the Capital Approval Teams in SEA and liaison with the Group manufacturing accountant to ensure timely approval of capital investment requests
•Working with the Tooling cost estimator to ensure appropriate cost estimates are available both for capital investment decision and for the Tool Allocation Committee
•Tracking and reporting of spend against capital approvals and management of addendums to ensure approvals are in place as required.
•Monthly management reporting of capital investment to the SEA management team
•Monthly forecasting of depreciation and cash payments for capital investments
•Auditing and tagging of Dyson assets (Manufacturing, Test, IT, Facilities, etc)
•Ad hoc project work as directed by Fixed Asset Supervisor and Finance Management

Person specification:
Essential Technical
•Qualified / Part Qualified accountant with experience in capital / asset management
•Experience in manufacturing environment
•Excellent personal and presentation skills, in particular the presentation of financial information to engineers and non-finance people
•Experience SAP user would be a plus point
